The FoodCycler lives up to its promises it's nothing short of magic! My mum, who has her own fruit and veggie gardens and loves juicing, now effortlessly turns all that waste from juicing and cooking into lush mulch for her gardens. I just wanted to let you know how brilliant my Eco 5 unit has been! We have got 7 people in the house, so it gets daily use, sometimes twice daily, and it performs flawlessly. No noise, odour or heat. We typically put it on during the day when our PV is generating, so no electricity cost there. We are diverting between 2.5 - 5kg of food waste each day from our red bin. Plus its a lot easier than composting, which takes a long time.

First up, the unit has arrived and we put it through its first cycle last night. Holy! Crap! Amazing. We both peered into the unit this morning and agreed that this is one time where something actually does what it says it does.
What an incredible job this does on kitchen waste. It is rare to find something that works totally as advertised. It turned 5 litters of food waste in to a very small pile of organic matter that WILL NOT go into the landfill. The unit is so quite you could plug it in wherever is better for you.

Is it a composter?
No, it's a dehydrator. Instead it dries and grinds scraps rather than composting them. The output can be mixed into soil or added to a compost heap.
What can go in it?
Everything from fruit peels to meat scraps. Keep out beef bones and too much oils/sugars as they don't dehydrate well and will leave your output wet.
How much power does it use?
Less than 1.5 kWh per cycle.

Does it smell or make noise?
An airtight lid seal and odour-locking carbon filter keep smells in, and it runs quietly.
